Moody, TX
I made a discovery today, well sorta. I am REALLY bad at keeping in touch with people. It's not that I don't love my friends, it's that I just really am lazy, and calling someone or emailing takes way too much effort. Now answering the phone, I can do, or hitting reply...easy! It's the me actually having to do all the work that is the issue. Anyway, I really am bad at it.
I have been staying in Waco, well Moody, TX for about a month now. Alley's been working for his dad and it's been pretty nice. I really like it here except for the fact that my family and friends are so far away. But I have a good church here, alley's family, and lots of fun stuff to do.
Two weeks ago Andrea, Aneva, Aurora, Bonnie, and I went to a place called Krause Springs outside of Austin. It was quite a drive, but I loved it there, so did Aurora. It was a lot of fun for everyone. It was also very pretty. They have a man made pool that is fed by the spring at the top, or you can walk down and swim in the spring. There are really shallow areas good for smaller kids, and deeper areas with a rope to jump in with and a big rock to jump off of.
There aren't any really good picture of Krause, but this is the best one I could find.
Next time I will take a picture myself because that one definately doesn't do it justice. There are some spectacular views there.
Today we went to Tonkawa Falls in Crawford. Yes, the place George W Bush lives.No, did not see him there. Anyway, it was smaller than Krause but much closer. It was really nice there as well. All the kids really enjoyed it. I can't say I had a bad time either, sitting in a tube getting burnt is a lot of fun. Anyway, don't have much more to say about it, but here's a picture of it.
